Deidra Muriel Roper, raised in Brooklyn, New York City, was born on August 3rd, 1970 (as DJ Spinderella). Because of her father’s record collection, DJ Spinderella began singing as a youngster.
After learning DJ skills from her high school DJ boyfriend, she started her career as a DJ when she was 14 years old. Her classmate then approached her with an offer to join an all-female rap group when she was 16 years old. Hurby “LuvBug” Azor, the group’s producer at the time, auditioned her.
Early life
Spinderella (Deidra Muriel Roper) was born on August 3, 1970, although some reports indicate she was born on August 3, 1971. She grew up in the Brooklyn Pink House Projects and had a low upbringing.
Spinderella hasn’t shared much about her personal life, except for a few anecdotes about her family throughout the years.

In a Billboard interview published Thursday, Spinderella, whose true name is Deidra Roper, said, “The connection is terminated.” “The only way something like that might happen is if we get this business squared away and they offer an apology to me,” she said in response to a potential reunion for the trio.
Are Salt-N-Pepa broke?
